I'm Amber Schisler, a theatre professional with over three decades of experience in the performing arts. As an actor, singer, musician, director, and designer, I've immersed myself in every aspect of the theatrical world.
Beyond the stage, I'm an arts administrator and advocate, passionate about fostering the growth and impact of the arts in our communities.
As an ardent arts education advocate, I believe in the power of creativity to shape young minds and have published guided journals, planners, and notebooks that encourage artistic exploration and self-expression.
As the Director of Strategy and Ticketing at Morris Performing Arts Center, I'm on a mission to ensure that everyone can easily access the experiences MPAC offers, from the history of our building and city to attending unforgettable events.
In the South Bend area, I work with actors and theatre companies, wearing multiple hats as an actor, director, musician, and designer. South Bend has so much to offer for the arts and for artists and I relish the opportunity collaboration and creativity.
My husband, Ryan, and I met when were professional actors on stage while portraying a married couple in the musical Footloose, and still love performing together.
In my downtime, you'll find me snuggling with our pup, Rosie, who brings endless joy into our lives.
I enjoy running (though I'm dangerously slow!) I lose myself in the pages of books, and love stories. Current favorites include books my Allison Weir, the Mayfair Witches books, Anna Karenina, and Man's Search for Meaning. I have always loved sewing, knitting, embroidery, design, and crafting.
